Variable transformers

Description

Variable transformers are used to adjust AC voltages or currents under load between zero and rated value. They are suitable for supplying ohmic, inductive or capacitive equipment.

In a variable transformer, voltage adjustment is achieved by amplitude adjustment. In this case, variable transformers do not change the waveforms between input and output voltages, and no harmonics or current surges are generated.

  • Design as variable toroidal transformer and variable column transformer according to IEC EN 61558-2-14 and VDE 0552
  • Voltage up to 1.000V
  • Protection class up to IP 54
  • Hard silver plating of the most important contact points
  • Consistently low contact resistances
  • Lower voltage drop due to compensation windings
  • Design for aggravated operation
