High-current transformers as toroidal core transformer in cast design up to 30,000 A.
A belt ring core with primary winding constitutes the so-called stimulating unit. The secondary voltage is induced on a high-current bus bar, which is fed through the remaining hole of the stimulating unit and directly connected to the load. A voltage increase arises from various stimulating units combined with each other. The induced voltage is doubled, respectively the secondary current is divided in half, if the high-current bus bar is fed through the stimulating unit twice.
The stimulating unit is cast completely and designed in protection type IP54. The compact cast construction allows vertical as well as horizontal installation.
